Orrin was a big, tall lighthouse. He stood by the sea every day and night. But Orrin had a secret that made him sad. He was afraid of the big, blue sea.

Aria often played near the lighthouse. She saw Orrin standing still and quiet. His light was not very bright, and he seemed very worried. Aria wondered why Orrin was sad.

One day, dark clouds came fast. The wind blew hard, and the sea got very rough. Orrin shook a little and closed his bright light. He was very scared.

Aria looked out at the sea from her window. She saw many boats tossed by big waves. Oh no! The boats needed Orrin's light to find their way home. Aria felt worried for them.

Aria decided to be brave. She knew Orrin needed help. She ran to Orrin and started to climb. Up, up, up she went, many steps to the very top.

Aria reached the top, right into Orrin's lantern room. "Hello, Orrin!" she called. "The sea can be big, but it is also beautiful and kind. It is full of pretty fish."

"Your light is special, Orrin," Aria said. "It helps everyone, especially when the sea is stormy. The boats need you to show them the way home."

Orrin listened to Aria's kind words. He felt a little spark inside. Then, his bright white light blinked on, just a little. He felt brave because of Aria.

The light grew stronger and spun around. Orrin shone his light far out to sea! The boats saw it and knew they were safe. Orrin felt very proud.

From that night on, Orrin was never afraid. He shone his light every night for his friends, the boats. Aria and Orrin were the best of friends, always brave together.
The end.
