Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Storybox.

What ages is Storybox for?

Storybox adapts to four reading levels for kids ages 3–10. Vocabulary, sentence length, and story complexity all adjust automatically.

open

How does my child create a story?

They tap the microphone and say their idea out loud, like "A dinosaur eating pizza in space!" Storybox turns it into an illustrated storybook.

open

Is the content safe?

Every story request is filtered before anything is generated. Inappropriate themes, violence, and scary concepts are blocked automatically.

open

What happens to voice recordings?

Voice is processed on-device when possible and discarded immediately. We never store or listen to your child's audio on our servers.

open

Does it work offline?

Creating new stories requires internet, but once a story is saved, it works completely offline, perfect for long trips.

open

Are there ads or tracking?

No ads. No tracking. No behavioral data collection. Your child's experience is completely uninterrupted.

open

How long is each story?

10 illustrated pages, plus a title page and a summary page. Roughly 5–10 minutes to read aloud, great for bedtime or a quick creative session.

open

Can parents delete stories or account data?

Yes. Parents can contact support@mystorybox.co to request account deletion, story deletion, or a copy of account data. We handle privacy requests carefully and respond as quickly as possible.

open

Is Storybox meant to replace reading together?

No. Storybox is designed to give families another reason to read together. Kids create the idea, then the finished story becomes something a parent, caregiver, or grandparent can read aloud and discuss.

open

What makes Storybox different from video apps?

Storybox has a clear beginning and ending. There is no endless feed, autoplay loop, or ad-driven recommendation system, so story time can end naturally when the book is done.

open

Can grandparents or caregivers use it too?

Yes. Storybox works well for grandparents, babysitters, and caregivers because kids can start with a spoken idea and turn it into a story that is easy to read together.
