About Storybox

A child says the idea. A family gets the story.

Storybox is a kids story app that turns a child's spoken idea into an illustrated book families can read together.

Why we made it

Imagination should be easier to begin and worth coming back to.

Children rarely run out of ideas. They invent impossible pets, secret doorways, unusual heroes, and entire worlds before a grown-up can find a pencil. The harder part is turning that burst of imagination into a story they can hold onto.

Storybox removes the typing barrier. A child speaks an idea aloud, and the app turns those words into a short illustrated storybook. The finished pages give parents, grandparents, caregivers, and teachers something concrete to read together and talk about.

Storybox is made by Sleektech LLC for children ages 3 to 10. It is available on iPhone and iPad through the App Store. The goal is simple: use technology to help a child create, then bring the experience back to reading aloud, conversation, and play.

What guides Storybox

Three product decisions we do not treat as extras.

01

The child starts the story

Storybox begins with a child's own character, place, problem, or wonderfully strange idea. The technology helps shape that idea into pages, but the creative spark belongs to the child.

02

A finished story brings people together

The result is made to be read aloud, talked about, saved, and revisited. Storybox is not an endless feed. Every story has a beginning, a middle, and an ending.

03

Privacy is part of the product

A child's speech is converted to text on the iPhone or iPad. The audio recording is not uploaded. Only the resulting text idea is sent to create the story.

What families get

Creative screen time with a stopping point.

Storybox has no advertisements and no endless recommendation feed. One plan covers every story a family makes, so nothing inside the app asks a child to buy anything. Each session can end naturally with a completed book, a reread, or a new idea to act out away from the screen.

What grown-ups keep

A role in the reading experience.

Storybox does not try to replace books, parents, teachers, or shared reading. It gives a child a quick way to become the author, then gives the grown-up a finished story to read aloud, discuss, save, and share with trusted family members.
