Candle felt very warm. Its flame gave a soft, gentle glow. Flashlight shone a bright, cool beam of light. Flashlight wondered about Candle's special warmth.

"Why are you so warm?" Flashlight asked. Candle smiled a happy smile. "My light brings a cozy feeling," Candle said. "It is a different kind of light."

Flashlight tried to feel the warmth. It held out its metallic body. But Flashlight only felt its own cool, bright light. It did not feel Candle's special warmth.

Flashlight felt a little sad. "I want to feel warmth too," it said. Candle had a good idea. "Let's discover other warm things," Candle whispered.

First, they went to the kitchen. A basket of warm cookies sat on the counter. "See the steam?" Candle asked. Flashlight saw the warm steam float up.

Next, they saw a little toy bunny. It hugged a small, fluffy bear. "Sharing a hug feels warm inside," Candle said. Flashlight thought this was a new idea.

Flashlight wanted to try a hug. It gently leaned towards Candle. "This is a soft hug," Flashlight said, and they giggled. It was hard for a flashlight to hug!

Then they sat in the sunny backyard. The sun felt warm on their bodies. "The big sun gives warm light," Candle told Flashlight. Flashlight felt a cozy glow.

Flashlight thought about everything. Cookies, hugs, and the warm sun. "Warmth is more than just light," Flashlight decided. Candle smiled at its friend.

Suddenly, a little toy mouse looked lost in the shadows. Flashlight turned on its bright beam. It helped the mouse find its way and felt a happy, glowing warmth inside.
The end.
